Itty went to a new groomer this time. When I picked her up Itty had her own quiet room and everything to relax in. Her last hair cut traumatized her, but this time she was far more at ease. I'm going to take her back if she ever needs a hair cut again or to be boarded. It's called The Best Little Cat House in Burbank and the best part for Itty is there's no dogs!

Now I know what you're thinking... Steph has finally lost it and become a crazy cat lady. Well, you may be right, but there is a reason for this torture you see here. My friend Ryan has a blog called 'Cuter in Bunny Ears,' and yesterday, Itty was the weekly guest artist! I made these ears out of paper and a pipe cleaner and she had them on less than 5 seconds, but I managed to get a couple pictures. And don't worry, she experienced no physical harm... only mental.

I took a trip to Paso Robles recently and saw this cat at a garage sale. He was showing off for me!

Stu and I had to take Itty to the dermatologist yesterday, and though I won't take pictures of Itty at the vet because she is so sad, I did take a picture of one of the office cats named Fragile. He's so old and grumpy looking, it was adorable!

I went to Bakersfield a week ago, and I finally got to see my friends Erwin and Robin's kittens! They're all big now, but still just as cute and playful. I love how close they all are with each other, being siblings. There are so many though, they'll soon overthrow the house!

I obviously haven't posted in a while, so in order to catch up, I'm going to just do a bunch of posts at once from oldest to newest. Get ready for an overdose of Itty!!

First: More Christmas Pics

Itty always wants attention, especially if I'm sitting on the floor wrapping presents. So I tried to take advantage of this by taking some glamour shots of her.

Third: Fat Mary!!

Mary was rescued by my older sister during Christmas time. She was so fat that she thought she was pregnant, so she called her Mary. Late at the vet, she found out she was just super FAT!

But soooo cute!

I had to get an overhead shot to give you a clear view of how truly fat poor Mary is. Don't worry, she's been put on a strict diet!

Fourth: Itty needs attention... now!

Whenever Stu or myself use the computer, Itty needs to get right in front of us to remind us she's there. Here, she was attacking my fingers whenever I used the keyboard.

Fifth: Bad Hair Day

These are before and after pictures of a truly, bad hair cut. I don't have a large budget right now, I just wanted Itty trimmed so that she wouldn't get so many hairballs and dredlocks. So I took her to the vet who did it for 20 bucks. This is before:

When I got her home from the vets office, I couldn't see what she looked like until I got her out of her carrier. And behold...

Itty what happened?!

Her expression is clearly a reflection of how she feels about this haircut.

I asked for an allover trim, including her mane. What Itty got was a patchy haircut, with a long mane and long hair on her legs, making her look like some ugly, buff kitty.

Vacation Kitties!

Two weekends ago, Stu and I went up north to Napa Valley, and on the way back we visited Alma and Jennie, which means....

Kitts of the Weekend

Sadly, we had to say goodbye to Fatty a few weekends ago, because he had a stomach problem that we couldn't take care of at the time. His breeder is way better equiped to handle any problem like that. This was the last picture I took of him, hes sleeping by the window :) We miss you Fatty!

Over the weekend we organized our study by going through and throwing out a lot of our old stuff. Itty helped, as you can see.

And Itty was visited by one of her biggest fans! Ceci, Fatty's future owner, was so nice to treat us to dinner for temporarily watching Fatty (although her true motive was just to come over to see Itty!). Itty just loves to be held, can't you tell by her outstretched arms and lack of eye contact?

Ceci should take lessons from Stuart on holding a cat against their will.

Stu is never so happy as when he is torturing a cat with love.

Then Itty showed off for us. Incredible acrobatics!

Stu's been working at home around the clock, so that leaves me bored and desperate to amuse myself with stuff like this. Hi ho nobel steed!

Fatty is way more relaxed and comfortable than he used to be, not that he still doesn't run and hide at any slight movement or sound. Even Itty and Fatty have been playing next to each other, just one step away from playing with each other! Yay!

Fatty is Batty about Bananas (too much?)

Fatty is slowly getting more comfortable. He walks around now when Stu and I are on the couch. However, if we get any where near him, he thinks we are going to murder him or something. Stuart things we need to get him a new brain at the brain store. I agree :)

One problem is, besides the constant hiding, is that there seems to be litter ALL OVER the house now! I'm vacuuming every morning. I don't know if Fatty has pockets in all the girth that he's stuffing with litter and spreading it all over the living room. So I dumped all the litter and we're going to switch to something like newspaper pellets or something. Although I bet its going to get a lot stinkier around here without those odor eaters. XP

This is the first time I've seen Fatty actually enjoying himself at our house. He found Itty's catnip bananas and he's rolling around with them just like she does (although not quite as nimbly as her). You can't stay mad at him when he's just so cute!

Stuart is dying in Uncharted Drake's Fortune in the background. Hence the cursing :)

The Fat Cat Cometh!

Stuart and I agreed to watch another Bobtail named Fatty for a few months while his owner looks for a new house. Fatty and Itty used to live together, so we thought there'd be no problem. However, we didn't count on how much of a scaredy cat Fatty is! Or how territorial Itty is about her house!

So Fatty spends most of his days hiding, which is challenging for him considering how giant he is. However, it seems little by little he's beginning to calm down, eating and drinking and using his litter box. When Itty went to Stu's Parent's house, with three strange cats already living there, it took her only a few hours to get comfortable. Seeing Fatty however... hopefully he'll get used to the place by November!

Unbelievably, Fatty made it under the couch eventually, with some squeezing of course. Also, check out his weird butt! Unlike Itty, he has absolutely no tail. I think he looks like a wombat!

After about a day, Fatty still wouldn't stop hiding, so we started eliminating hiding places so he would get to know us and explore a little bit. We couldn't keep the couch like this for long though.

However, it seems Fatty didn't need the couch to hide. He's like an ostrich in a cartoon!

Stuffing pillows under the tv won't stop him! And look at all that cat hair!! Ah!!

Fatty finally came out on his own after tons of coaxing. Itty kept a close eye though...

Itty has been going stir crazy being alone in the house since Stuart and I have been having to work long hours. So when we get home, shes completely off her nut. Here is an example of her attacking me because I'm ignoring her. We wish we could play with her more, but she needs a friend during the day... little brat.

Itty is SOOOOOOOO hyper in the morning. This video does not do her justice since she had calmed down a little at this point, but every time someone goes into another room and closes the door, she looses her mind and swipes her paws like a manic. The feather is here just to coax her, but usually nothing is required for her just to claw around searching for something to grab.

Its sad, but the honeymoon with Itty Bit is over. Haha, not that I don't love her to death! I just am not taking pictures of her everyday like I used to. Hopefully, with more free time coming up soon, I'll be able to take and post more pictures of her, as well as updating my other blog which I have been neglecting for so long. However, I thought I need to update Itty's blog this week before I have a the big post coming at the end of this week! Someone new is coming to Itty's house to stay for a few months, someone FAT! :D In the meantime, here is Itty snuggling inside the laundry I'm trying to fold.

Sorry for the long break in posts, I've been super busy at work. The cute Itty Bit pictures have just been piling up! So, without delay, here are a few pictures from just recently when Stu and I visited Spooky in San Jose, and Fawn and Ryan visited Itty at our house!

This is Spooky, Itty's best bud (kinda...). I've never seen a cat more gorgeous and deadly than Spooky. She'll cut ya!

Also, I bought Itty a new whale scratcher recently, and I think she really likes it :) Man, flash sucks, but our apartment is so dark at night!

Fawn and Ryan finally came to see Itty for the first time! Fawn even braved it through her allergies :) Itty was trying to play it cool by being aloof around them, but she couldn't resist playing fetch, her favorite game. Pictured here is Fawn being extremely happy while Itty struggles for freedom. Below that is Itty, Ryan and Fawn (this is the best picture we could get...). Itty misses you already!

When Stu and I came back from lunch with Fyan and Rawn, we found Itty laying like this with her back legs behind her. She must have been hot or something, because she wouldn't move, little weirdo.

Bath Time!

Itty had been itching a lot lately and her fur wasn't feeling as soft, so Stuart and I decided to suck it up and give her a bath. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of her during the bath because for us it was a two-man job. Stuart didn't walk away unscathed from the ordeal :( To say the least, Itty didn't enjoy the experience, but it was so worth it to see her so soft and smelling so good after!

Poor Bittsy looks like a giant rat.

She sat under the table and wouldn't let us touch her for a half hour. We had BETRAYED her!!

She quickly got over her grudge when Stuart gave her a treat and I made a nice spot in the sun for her to lay out and dry off.

I saw these two adorable cats in the window downstairs from us. The were licking each other (so cute!), so I called Itty over to look. As soon as the cats saw her they just stopped and stared, unmoving. I don't know cat language, but Itty might have made some new enemies that day... (dum dum DUM!)

Itty hates going in her carrier, but I'm glad she adapts to it pretty quickly. When we picked her up on the way home from Comic Con, she was a little stressed and panting, but she was happy to be home when we finally arrived. I think she missed us because she was super affectionate:) I couldn't resist taking some pictures of her in her carrier though. She's so cute!

Hey! So here's the new post I was talking about.
Stuart and I went to Comic Con recently and had to leave Itty with a friend. She was stressed at first, but I think she settled in pretty quickly. My mom sent me a picture with her iphone an hour after we left.

We had a great time at Comic Con! But Itty was always in our thoughts. I even asked artist Jeffery Brown to draw her a picture! I think he really captured her personality.

Post-Surgery

Itty had to be spayed last Friday. It was for the best because we are never going to breed her, but the poor thing was so sore that she couldn't play, even though she really, really wanted to. I think the drugs she was on were messing with her nerves or something, because her right eyelid wouldn't stop drooping. I felt bad for her, but I couldn't stop taking pictures because she looked so funny and drunk! Don't worry, she's feeling a lot better now and she is back to her hyper self.

She was so tired, she slept all day.

I had no idea cat bellies are so soft when they're shaved! Hers was softer than a baby's skin, and I've held newborns!

Stuart just loves this picture because of how discombobulated she looks. She's all off balance and there's that eye drooping thing. Poor messed up kitty!
